I’m a Board-Certified Internal Medicine Physician with over a decade of clinical experience licensed in Texas, USA; I also hold a Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy, and a deep belief that good health information should be clear, evidence-based, and actually useful in real life.
That’s exactly why I created Dr Bernard Health and Life — a place where medicine meets everyday living, and where you don’t need a medical degree to understand what’s good for you.
After years of caring for hospitalized patients, I noticed something that kept showing up — over and over again.
So much of what lands people in the hospital could be addressed long before it gets there, with the right information, the right habits, and the right support.
But here’s the problem: reliable health information online is either too clinical to understand or too watered-down to be useful. And in between, there’s a flood of wellness trends, miracle cures, and confusing claims that leave people more overwhelmed than empowered.
I wanted to create something different. A place where:
That’s the heart of Dr Bernard Health and Life.
On this blog, I write about:
common conditions explained simply, prevention, and what your doctor wishes you knew
practical eating, sleep, stress, and habit-building advice rooted in evidence
because health isn't just physical
honest takes on supplements, diets, biohacks, and trending topics
the lifestyle, mindset, and small daily choices that add up to a healthier life
Every article is grounded in clinical experience, current evidence, and a deep respect for your time and intelligence.
When I'm not seeing patients or writing for the blog, you can find me spending time with my family playing games (Scrabble, Chess, Monopoly, Uno Uzzle etc), watching movies with them or just busy but enjoying being a mom. I live in Texas with my family and I believe that the best version of health is one that lets you fully enjoy the people and life you love.
